Highlights from AAMI eXchange 2024

We had an incredible time at the AAMI eXchange 2024 conference in Phoenix, and we're excited to share some of the highlights with you.

The conference kicked off with a captivating Leadership Seminar presented by the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology. NVRT Labs spent an hour in the all-day training event focused on the integration of Extended Reality (XR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). Our CEO, Matt Bassuk, and CTO, Aaron Hanna, led the session. Aaron delivered a compelling presentation on the advancements in AI, showcasing some of our latest research and development projects. His insights into how AI can revolutionize HTM were both inspiring and thought-provoking.

The AR/VR Xperience in the Expo Hall was a major highlight of the conference. We created an immersive environment where attendees could engage with our mixed reality demos. One of the standout experiences was a multiplayer, colocated, mixed reality teardown of a Philips Ultrasound unit. This interactive demo allowed participants to explore and understand the inner workings of the unit in a completely new way. Additionally, we added a touch of fun with games like a virtual basketball hoop and virtual cornhole, which were a big hit among the attendees, and their kids on Father's Day.

We also had the opportunity to do a live interview with Bryant Hawkins for the AAMI YouTube stream. It was a great platform to share our insights, innovations, and the exciting projects we're working on at NVRT Labs. Matt showcased the NVRT Labs XR training solutions, and how these technologies can drive significant improvements in healthcare technology.

The conference concluded on a high note with two more educational sessions. Aaron took the stage again to delve deeper into the applications of AI in HTM, highlighting practical use cases and future possibilities. Matt wrapped up with a session on XR in HTM, discussing how XR technologies can transform the way we approach healthcare technology management.

AAMI eXchange 2024 was an unforgettable experience, providing us with valuable insights and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders. We are excited about the future of AI and XR in HTM and look forward to continuing our journey of innovation and excellence in healthcare technology.
